As we continue to grow, we are seeking a driven Credit Control Officer to join our expanding team in Belfast, offering an exciting opportunity to make a real impact within a dynamic and supportive environment.

Role Overview

We are currently recruiting for a Credit Control Officer to join our busy and growing Finance team to manage the credit control function for the company.

Key Responsibilities

· Proactively manage the company’s credit control policy, ensuring customers adhere to agreed credit terms.

· Sending invoices and statements to customers.

· Running routine checks via Credit Safe in regards to customer credit ratings before approving credit requests.

· Establishing terms of credit for customers and ensure invoices are paid on time.

· Renegotiating customer payment terms.

· Reconciliation and maintenance of the Debtor’s ledger in several companies across the business.

· Liaising with customers and respond to queries.

· Liaising between company departments.

· Preparing Aged Debt reports for management when required.

· Manage the small claims process for the business, to include preparing and submitting claim files.

· Strong organisational skills.

· Excellent attention to detail.

· Excellent team player skills.

· Ability to work on own initiative.

· Self-motivated / Positive attitude.

· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills including verbal, written and active listening skills.

· Excellent knowledge in the use of Microsoft Word and Excel and excellent IT Skills.

· Excellent knowledge of the small claims process.

· Previous experience in a similar role.

Desirable Criteria

· Previous experience of Sage 200 Accounts is preferable.
