Working with Belfast universities and colleges, Church of Ireland and Methodist Chaplaincy Belfast works to support and serve students and staff through Christian ministry, accommodation, pastoral care and on-campus activities.
Before making the decision to upgrade their landline system, the team had been using a traditional landline system to communicate, alongside mobile devices and web interfaces. By moving to a hosted VoIP solution, Church of Ireland and Methodist Chaplaincy Belfast was able to communicate across one platform with call recording and monitoring across all devices.
The charity was informed of the Barclay Backing Business Grant through their Account Manager, who had built a strong relationship with the staff and was able to recommend a solution that better fit the needs of the organisation. A Barclay Account Manager directed the charity to the application webpage where they could submit details of their needs and how the grant would help relieve some pressures caused by the COVID-9 pandemic. The selection process involved thorough analysis of which businesses or organisations would have the most benefit from 12 months of free landline services and successful applicants were notified via a sales representative.
Church of Ireland and Methodist Chaplaincy Belfast described the sales process as, “Straightforward.” As an accredited Gamma Platinum Partner, our sales teams are trained regularly to ensure they are up to date on the latest features and tools of the system.
Sales Director at Barclay Communications, John Roulston, emphasises, “Our teams are given regular training directly from Gamma representatives. This ensures that we are providing customers with accurate information and enables the team to tailor a demonstration to a potential customer, showing them the areas which will be most useful to their business.”
Throughout the implementation process, the charity said, “Communication on Barclay’s part has been very helpful.” With a team of in-house engineers, site surveys and implementation can be completed effectively to ensure an excellent customer experience.
The Barclay Backing Business Grant was designed to help businesses and organisations based in Northern Ireland that had been negatively impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. Britt Megahey, Managing Director at Barclay Communications explained, “We recognise that businesses, especially when furlough ends, and bounceback loans have to be repaid, will need every penny they have to thrive and invest in their business wisely. To help some of those in that challenging position we offered to support their communication needs as they reconnect and resume business.
The Barclay Backing Business Grant is just one of the new corporate social responsibility initiatives that we hope will support our peers in the NI business community. It’s important that businesses support each other as much as possible at this time.”
Speaking of how the grant has helped them while resuming normal operations, Church of Ireland and Methodist Chaplaincy Belfast said, “To be awarded the free services for a year is hugely helpful. As a charity, it goes a long way to help us provide our services without interruption, especially coming out of a pandemic.”
We are delighted to welcome the charity as a customer and thrilled that it would recommend us as a communication provider to other organisations.
