Barclay Communications enhances its portfolio with a range of flexible private, public or managed service telephony options
Belfast-based Barclay Communications has partnered with Avaya, a global leader in solutions to enhance and simplify communications and collaboration, giving its customers greater flexibility in their choice of business communications.
The new partnership will see Barclay Communications offer the full range of Avaya OneCloud communications solutions, which includes cloud options from standard on-premise and managed services to public cloud and subscription payment model. This will provide Northern Ireland and UK businesses with a more flexible and futureproof telephony alternative and way of working for employees as the “Big Switch Off” fast approaches or in some aspects, is already underway. The partnership also gives Barclay Communications the ability to manage and maintain existing Avaya systems, providing remote and on-site customer support for existing Avaya users.
The Barclay Communications and Avaya OneCloud partnership gives customers a greater choice in the systems they implement into their business when making the switch to a digital solution.
With over 100,000 customers spanning the globe, Avaya specialises in world-class cloud-based unified communications and collaboration for business. Rated number one for SME business telephone systems globally, the firm is held in high regard and is a much sought-after partner for unified communications and collaboration resellers.
Speaking of the partnership, Avaya’s Channel Lead, Ciaran Mcnamara says, “We are thrilled to have Barclay Communications on board. The company already has a solid reputation in the unified communications technology industry and its growth in landline has been exceptional over the past few years. We’re excited to see how they can help us expand our reach in the NI market in the coming years.”
Managing Director of Barclay Communications, Britt Megahey, emphasised the importance of the new partnership. “Avaya is a big name in unified communications technology and has recently put in some of the largest solutions in Northern Ireland. With circa 900,000 users across Ireland, it’s a trusted and recognised brand and solution. We very much chose to partner with the best and this is a great addition to our existing portfolio. Having them as a partner is a great achievement and we are delighted that we can now extend our portfolio to offer our customers greater flexibility across a widely trusted platform.
“Our internal teams are well supported through practical training provided by Avaya. The new products will be a great addition to our already robust comms portfolio.”
Last year, Barclay Communications experienced a 200% increase in the uptake of its VoIP solutions as businesses seek new ways to offer staff a more flexible way of working. The upgrade to a digital system brings a multitude of benefits for organizations including remote working capabilities, call recording, call statistics and a customer portal which allows businesses to make quick and easy changes to their system.
With the impending “Switch Off”, firms are now looking at which telecoms provider they should trust to upgrade their systems.
Britt continues, “From listening to our customers we have bolstered our offerings to ensure we are the leading provider in the market. We have been servicing customers for 25 years and we have learnt a lot in that time. It’s important that we can offer our customers the best products, at a competitive price as well as having a capable service team in the background to support these products.”
Barclay Communications has made a significant investment in recent years to improve its service offerings for customers including a new £350,000 CRM system to manage customers through an omni-channel experience and £150,000 in specialist engineering staff to manage the installations of its landline and IT solutions which are set to double as it grows.
